Hi to you all
I decided to get Statistics for Homicide in the Frankston area, i was given the statistics
for the last 14 years, not the many before. (FROM 1994 TO 2008)
In the period of 14 years there where 34 murders,2004 was the only year of no homicide,
the only other parts of Victoria that where up there with Frankston was Shepperton,Geelong.
Anzac day was mums birthday,if she had not been murdered she would have been 81years old, on the 25thApril 2008, but she is not here,on the day of her birthday, there you where in Frankston , yes i am talking to you the youngest of her killers, you are not
suppose to be in Frankston, but have been seen there on a number of occassions since your release, you are on probation ,yet you obviously think it is a joke ,the fact that a part of your parole is not to be in certain areas. I hear you are telling people that it was not you who killed mum ,you are telling your friends and all who will listen that you waited outside my mothers house while your friend was responsible for my mothers ,bashing, sexual assault, and murder ,do you tell your listeners that your DNA was on my mother, that it was your voice in the answering machine that sang the dirty sexual song to me from the juvenile centre, you have not changed, you where a potenial liar as a little boy and have remained one as an adult.
One of your friends who hangs around Frankston, passed on a msg, that you are always in Frankston, and no one can do anything about it,not even the Police.
Dont think for a moment that you are invisible, you look like your brothers, many people
have seen you in Frankston
TakenFrom article Herald Sun 16 March 2oo8 , Liam Houlihan crime reporter
Jaidyn’s mother calls for reform.
GROUP PLEADS FOR LAW CHANGE
Premier John Brumby has said he would consider overturning double jeopardy laws, but only for tainted acquitals.
That would apply to cases such as those when a juror was bribed ,but not when new DNA evidence implicated an acquitted suspect.
A spokeswoman for the Attorney General Rob Hulls said the Government’s postition was still the same .
Both federal parties want all states and territories to embrace uniform reforms to double jeopardy laws.
MY OPINION
The letter that we sent
To The Premier,MrBrumby ,Mr Hulls, AND TO MANY OTHER GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS .
We are writing to you regarding the recommendations developed by the Model Criminal Code Officers Commitee (MCCOC)
On Double Jeopardy
We ask the Victorian Government to make changes not abolish double jeopardy,
but to follow other states such as Queensland,New South Wales,South Australia who have made modifications to the law regarding double jeopardy.
As recently MP Peter Dutton and Faye Kennedy (Diedre’s law) Queensland who asked the
Legislative Assembly of Queensland.
That recommendations are that the laws on double jeopardy be changed so that a
person acquited of an offence would not be precluded
by the rule against double jeopardy from a retrial option.
Such as a retrial option could only be applied to attack the acquital of any given person.
Once and in relation to two circumstances only
1 FRESH AND COMPELLING EVIDENCE IN THE CASE OF CONVICTIONS FOR SERIOUS OFFENCES
ATTRACTING THE IMPRISONMENT;AND
2 ‘TAINTED ACQUITAL;IN RESPECT TO A FULL CATEGORY OF OFFENCES PUNISHABLE BY
IMPRISONMENT OF AT LEAST 15YEARS.
As Queensland listened,we ask the same for Victoria.
THIS WAS SUPPORTED BY MANY ACTIVIST FOR VICTIMS OF CRIME,
As for Jaidyn Leskie , our laws should have been changed because of him, who he was , who he would have been , he represent the innocent in our justice system,
and many like him , young and old that justice has been denied .
To Bylinda Murphy who fought for justice for Jaidyn , a courageous woman
olDandenong Station,Pakenham most dangerous station, followed by Frankston station line
Whats new, for the last ten years Dandenong had the highest crime rate in Melbourne,
Then the lovely seaside suburb of Frankston came in next, according to the Herald Sun.
Here we are in 2008 and nothing has changed,
Frankston city councill is proud of its Safe City Centre which is in front of Frankston station, started up in 2002 ,in conjunction with the Victoria police and Wilson Group Services, what do they do,the police do foot patrols and the Wilson group provides for the councill ,such as payments of fines, accounts, home help.
Hours open fron Monday to Friday 9.30 to 5.30
CRIME DOES NOT START AT 9.30AM TO 5.30PM
THE FANKSTON CITY COUNCILL HAS A SAFETY TEAM,A SAFETY OFFICER, SO WHY
HAVE THEY NOT TRIED TO MAKE FRANKSTON NOT NO 2 IN THE CRIME DEPARTMENT ,I SPOKE TO ONE OF THEM,WHO TOLD ME NOTHING WAS WRONG IN FRANKSTON,AND DID NOT KNOW ABOUT THE MURDERS
MAKE FRANKSTON A SAFER PLACE.
When i moved to beautiful Seaford ,i did not know about the crime about me,as time went on from 1989 to 2007 i can count 17murders in the area , besides my mothers Marie Greening Zidan the youngest being Tory, DOES ANYONE REMEMBER THEM, The gun shop murder ,a young man murdered behind the safe city centre at night time and the others, they are the forgotten, not to mention the assaults at the station and the taxi drivers that get threatened, assuulted trying to do there job, bottles thrown at taxis,
Frankston station ,and the areas around it need to be made a drug and alcholol free area,
People getting abused, drunks following you man handling you, then we have Dandenong station ,frightening is all i can say, so back to the Safer city Centre it is like a paper cut out prop for a movie nothing in it.Anyway the councill are not interested in this issue, there was a councillor who had the interest and passion to do something,Glenn ATKINS,MOST PEOPLE OF FRAKNKSTON WANT THE IMAGE TO BE CHANGED TO A SAFER CITY,
WHY IS IT CALLED THE MURDER CITY OF VICTORIA,
A Plaque shoud be set up for the victims ,to give them a name, and then work together to make public safety the most important issues
Can someone tell me why,the fasination with crooks and murderers, underbelly for me i find it personally insulting, what happened to characters who inspires us to do good
From the Cranbourne Journal incorporating Cranbourne Independent november 12 2007
Cranbourne police are investigating the deliberate drowning of a dog at a house in Cranbourne on Oct 27.
Police were called to the house after the owner reported finding the maltese terrier floating lifeless in a large bucket of water in the backyard about 10.30am.
The three year old dog could not be revived.
Police said the dogs owner recieved prank telephone calls prior to the incident, and had found
rat poision in the yard and on an earlier occasion,Detective Senior Constable David Measham
said the size difference between the bucket and the dog indicated the drowning was deliberate.
AS REPORTED IN THE PRESS
I HOPE THEY CATCH THE SICKO WHO DID THIS ,SEEMS TO BE MORE SICKOS AROUND THAN EVER,
Sunday the 11November, we gathered around the memorial,on a beautiful sunny day,
as we stood at the plaque for Victims of crime awareness week ,there was a great sense of peace, not far away from us
is the shrine, and it is Remembrence Day, This day has always been important for me and my
family, my uncles had served overseas in the second world war,my cousin was a prisoner of
war,he is mentioned in the book island in the mist, died from starvation and torture ,burried at Ambon, world war 2 then my mothers uncle who was in world war 1,who had been awarded the Victorian cross and other medals for his courage,he was in the Australian Imperial Forces, he was in France, then Turkey, he was sent back home as he was wounded ,had schrapnel still in his back.
Back in those days you had to show your dismissal papers in order to get work,my mothers uncles had a sister who was very firey and got into a temper ,and threw his dismissal papers and medals into the fire,
He was never able to get a job, he was considered a war hero as he had saved many lives,
that is why he was awarded the medals, and back then you did not have the dole,
his mother over many years kept asking the army on his behalf to send him a copy of his papers.
He eventually got the copy a year before he died,
Anothe relative buried in France ,1st world war
Back to the Plaque for Victims of Crime awareness week, is also Important to me,for all Victims, Imagine if all the organisations ,other groups and individual came together
as one ,then and only then will things change, laws, attitudes, and injustices.
I WOULD LIKE TO THANK THOSE THAT CAME
It was a beautiful and simple ceremony ,Melissiah sang AVE MARIA,and people came over the park to listen to her.
One day victims of crime awareness week will be national,we have the contacts interstate who believe in it,but it has to take of on the ground here in Victoria, the foundation has to be built.
In America they have a Nation victims awareness week, it is very big and has lots of support.
It is hard ,this is not about a Group or groups it is about Victims.
The Government would like us to be seperated from each other, but together we can make a difference
